Wooden Shjips – New Album West
San Franciscan experimental rock’n’roll quartert, Wooden Shjips, sail far into the fading sunset where the Doors open to Spacemen (3) guarding the entrance of a once familiar route occupied by the Jefferson Airplane. A place mixed with primitive ghosts dancing on a psychedelic moonscape with a cosmic whisper of Hawkwind. A rhythmic primitivism of tribal dance drone grooves and lost vortexes into the 4th dimension.
Here’s a sample from their Wooden Shjips [Bonus Disc]
Allah Las – Don’t Wanna Hear No More
Allah Las is a Los Angeles based band formed in 2008. Members of the surf city revisited covering the greater LA area. Throwback sounds of “The Old, Weird America”. A 1960s type of West Coast harmony coupled with surf tune breezes rambling though a thick psychedelic garage fuzz.
“We like future music. I like what people from the 60’s thought the future was going to sound like. What happened to that future?” – Pedrum Siadatian (electric guitar, vocals)
